There is an imminent - political, economic and environmental - need for alternatives to road transport. The Danish company SAFE Green Logistics has invented a new Intermodal system, which in a very simple and effective way moves large volumes of freight off the roads and onto rail. The system can be easily connected to maritime container terminals. In addition, the system offers higher profitability on a per unit basis than traditional road transport, and at the same time reduces CO2 emissions.
SAFE Green Logistic A/S was established in 2011 with the purpose of developing a future logistics system, where freight transport on railway would be a competitive alternative to the diesel trucks. The company is a private company owned by Mr. Heine Blach Jensen, Mr. Preben Randbæk and by the chairman Mr. Jakob Axel Nielsen, which together form SGL’s Board of Directors.
